Anna and Fletcher tied the knot at the edge of beautiful Lake Taupo on a typical blazingly hot February day in NZ. We were fortunate to attend as Anna and Fletcher are good friends of ours, so it was an added bonus to see this stationery in action! Their colours were largely led by the nature of the setting and the flowers – leafy green, white, cream and grey as an accent colour which kept things fresh and modern. Anna was particularly keen on the style of the typographic Barn Style stationery I had designed for another couple, so we personalised this with new fonts and colours and rolled it out across signage, favour tags and all other stationery elements.

Some pics are my own, but some below were taken by the couples photographer Jessica Mouatt who is based in Taupo, NZ. The couple recommend her highly – her photos are clearly fantastic!

We designed this type and printed it onto an A3 sheet of card which Anna then hand cut out so they could spray paint the stencil onto the wooden sign. Very rustic and a cost effect solution to stylish signage!

We were very impressed by the awesome car and how it was used as a mobile bar down by the lake side after the ceremony.

As the ceremony was held in Anna’s parents Taupo home, we created signs for the bathrooms, gift table and cake, tying all these elements together in the same style.

Anna bought these frames from Paperchase in London which went beautifully with the white roses in her flowers. I love how the style of the frames varied but were consistent in their colouring.

Anna’s Mum and Sister in law made jams and chutneys which we labels with ‘Spread the Love’ tags as favours for the guests. I took two…

Another creative solution for the table plan – Anna’s mum strung up the cards we designed on a gorgeous old wooden ladder. Such a nice touch, especially with the Maori table numbers. Keeping it Kiwi!

If you’re newly engaged, a save the date around a year or so prior to your wedding is a great way to lock in your guests, especially those from overseas, and give them a sneak peak of what they can look forward to. I can design you something that can be emailed to save on print costs, or send out a simple post card with print costs starting at only £29.90 for up to x100 A6 cards.
