French lavender wedding stationery

This is Rebecca and Alistair’s full range of stationery in action! You may remember the save the date designed a fair while back (just below), well from this point we went on to create the full stationery suite, further expanding on themes of travel, France, Italy, The Mudbrick Cafe and lavender.

The invitations were printed using letterpress with a fresh sprig of lavender tied with twine. We simplified the main wedding logo and created a wooden stamp (bottom left of invitation) using only the element of the lavender sprig and ampersand (which worked also as a bow) and just the letters R and A. The wooden stamp was then used on the place cards, table plan and thank you cards. Not only was this a lovely way to roll out and retain the styling of the stationery but it kept design and printing costs down!

The order of service was a simple folded A4 page featuring the wedding logo and a lovely quote by Hugh Prather.

The look and feel of the stationery was charming because of the mixture of elements – the watercolour from the save the date was used for the table names (all Alistair and Bex’s favourite travel destinations), fresh sprigs of  lavender with twine bound the menu together, and Bex used the wooden stamp for the place cards, then hand wrote the names.

Wooden stamps are a great way to ‘brand’ your wedding – it creates something memorable and iconic that can be used on many elements in many ways. From sweet bags to envelopes to your wedding photo album… I like to use The English Stamp Company.

Website banner design for Grandslam Events

Recently I created these online banners for my lovely loyal client Kevin at Grand Slam Events LTD. I created the logo and stationery for Grand Slam a while back, and have since worked on exhibition graphics and promotional adverts for the brand – it’s fab to be involved with the roll out of a brand right from the very start!

Georgi Mabee Photography logo design

I had the great pleasure of designing Georgi Mabee Photography a new logo earlier this year. She gave me a very clear and detailed brief which was fantastic – she was after a new logo to better reflect her style of photography and something that would appeal to her ideal clients. She was after something feminine but not girly and beautiful, but in an understated kind of way. Above is the final logo, its execution across her website and the watermark for her photos. Below is a mood board I put together to give Georgi a flavour of my findings from researching her market, exploring contemporary trends and the stylistic direction I felt would help her logo stand out in the overly crowded wedding work of ‘scripty fonts’. Also below are some of the earlier concepts I presented to Georgi. I always like to present a few directions; in this case I offered a clean and modern route (as above), a classic/elegant route and a whimsical option too.

Georgi was thrilled with the result and it’s now live and direct on her website and facebook page. From a personal point of view, I can recommend Georgi as a very skilled and lovely person to work with. She photographed our good friends’ wedding last year, of which I was a bridesmaid!

Still got it at 60!

So this was a fun one! The client was after something modern and stylish, with a nod to the 70’s… being the birthday boy’s hey day. Using quite a retro colour palette and creating an abstract, and yet obvious enough ‘6’ graphic (that kinda reminds me of vinyl…) the brief was nailed! Client loved it first pop and off it went to print – my supplier delivered brilliant quality ONCE AGAIN, so we were all happy!

A little birdy told me…

“I received the invites this morning… they look FABULOUS! Am really pleased with them / the paper / everything…” – Laura Critchell

I, too, was chuffed with the outcome of Laura and Pete’s wedding invitations – it was a real pleasure to work on. Pete and Laura had a really clear idea of what they were after – even supplied me a mood board (above), which was fantastic!

Nauty but nice… apparently!

It’s come to my attention that our nautical range of stationery has been receiving a good dose of attention on Pinterest! With well over 100 repins of the nautical invitation (and increasing daily!) I thought it was worth shouting about! Perfect if you’re planning a seaside wedding or if boating is your thing. I really love the nautical logo that we designed for Anna and William’s wedding. The possibilities are endless with the use of stamps and stickers to ‘brand’ your wedding with a bespoke logo…

Barn Stationery

As promised, here is the rest of the stationery range for Adam and Sophie’s barn wedding. Sophie created the wooden signage and gift box herself using the designs we provided as stencils and hand painting them. She assembled all the name stickers onto the little wooden tags, and mounted the table names on wooden sticks. They looked fantastic and added beautifully to the rustic charm of a barn wedding. All photographs were taken by Georgi at www.georgimabee.com who I can highly recommend having met her, having seen her work and after hearing rave reviews from Sophie and Adam about all of their photos. We’re really happy with how this design theme came together, and the couple were too.

bezign creative on the BBC!

No one likes a show off, but I’m pretty excited to say that one of my logo designs went live on the BBC last night! Ewan McGregor: Cold Chain Mission was produced by iEntertainment, and I designed their logo! Whoop!
