Working with one of my most valued clients, owner, Kevin Dendy, to create the logo and branding for Grand Slam Events was a great pleasure. Kevin was after something to convey the achievement of grand slam success. His main request was to use the 4 stars iconically linked to Grand Slam events. This was achieved with the movement of the stars rising and getting smaller as they move up and away – ‘knocked out of the park’. The stars integrate with the wording to add dynamism without harming legibility as the form of the star echoes the angles of the A. While we investigated colour, the palette was kept black, white and silver which feels elegant and polished. Kevin’s client base could range from corporate sporting days out to top notch christmas parties so the logo answers to both.

The secondary branding elements include the icons that appear on the stationery – these were created as a set to pick and choose from across various communications, depending on client base.

I’ve gone on to create adverts, pop-up and online banners and exhibition graphics for Grand Slam Events.
